SING INTO SPRING!
Super Sight Singing's Spring Term is now underway - offering musicianship classes, virtual choir sessions and more!
Our comprehensive weekly classes provide an ideal starting point for those new to music theory. You'll be learning how to utilise the Kodály Method - a technique specifically designed for singers, which introduces core musical principles from the ground up, with no prior musicianship knowledge required.
A fun, social space to enjoy group singing! Running concurrently with the above classes, these sessions will operate similarly to in-person choir rehearsals, focusing on vocal delivery and performance of repertoire. Elements of Kodály will be worked into these sessions too, to allow for some practical application of your musicianship skills.
In addition to group activities, Connor also offers private coaching, suitable for anyone who would like some more personalised, 1-to-1 tuition in Kodály, voice production, keyboard harmony or otherwise! If you are interested in booking a session with Connor, please leave a message using the Contact form below.
"I highly recommend Connor's sight-singing classes, having attended both the beginner and intermediate courses. Both courses included singers with and without knowledge of music theory and Connor did a brilliant job of including everyone. He provides clear guidance on the Kodály Method, plenty of examples to practise and a teaching space where students can feel comfortable to raise questions and share feedback at any time. If you find sight-singing intimidating like I used to...rest-assured that you won’t after this course."
MUSICIANSHIP TRAINING FOR SINGERS
Super Sight Singing was launched in the autumn of last year by Connor Going, a London-based, professional vocalist and pianist, with a view to providing comprehensive musicianship training for singers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Because singing is the one form of musical expression that is universally and instantly available to everyone, singers can work practically on their voice for many years before ever being exposed to music theory. While familiarity with the theory behind music isn't necessary to be a great vocalist, it does provide a much richer and more fulfilling experience for the individual and the musician.
At Super Sight Singing, we provide a clear, step-by-step programme for musicianship training - that teaches you to interpret sheet music, the theory behind it all & how to sing at sight - in other words, how to read music! Super Sight Singing offers a fun, accessible way to enhance your musical experience and practice, whether you sing professionally or just for fun!
